Would you believe it is possible that you can still smell the traditions of the Bulgarian 18 century Revival in the beginning of 21 century?
The Inn was built during the Ottoman yolk in Bulgaria in 1820 by Nikola and Kerafina Poumpalovi. The young family named the new establishment after their son Peter (Pene in local dialect). The architectural style was designed and constructed by craftsmen of
the period. The Inn was nationalized by the Communist regime in 1975-76 and was declared a Cultural Monument under the protection decree for historical sights. Although its authentic structure was preserved until the fall of the Communism in 1989 in Bulgaria, the Inn was heavily damaged being used as a futile warehouse.

After a persistent struggle with the resisting local authorities, in 1992 Luben G. Poumpalov managed to complete the major renovation and refurbishment of the Inn. It regained its unique atmosphere.
