About the hotel
Situated right to the church Saint Trinity, the guest house "Dedo Pene" dates back to 1820 and distinguished itself by its original stone walls. The guests of the house could have a peaceful relax in homelike rooms in a typical for Bansko style, contributed by all modern amenities. The hotel is situated in the very heart of the old town.
Dedo Pene has been designed to turn your stay here into a unique experience – you will be woken up by the church bell, you will be served homemade breakfast, and you will enjoy a one-of-a-kind view from the chardaks (balconies) – the peaks of the Pirin Mountain, Saint Trinity church and the quaint houses of the old quarter.

Private transport
The parking in the center of Bansko at the weekend and high season is busy, and the access for cars in the old town is forbidden. If you come with your own car, we suggest you to use the parking lot, which is right to the historical center Saint Paisii Hilendarski (21, Otets Paisii Str), as well as the small square at Str Nikola Vaptsarov. The fee is 1 lv per hour, from 8 am to 6 pm - every day, including the weekend.
Public transport
There are regular bus lines from Sofia, Blagoevgrad, Gotse Delchev and Plovdiv to Bansko. The distance from Sofia is 160 km, and the trip is about 2 hours and a half, the average price of the ticket is about 15 BGN. (You can take a bus almost all day long from the Central station and the bus station Ovcha Kupel.) The distance from Plovdiv is 150 km, the trip about 3 hours, the average price of the ticket is about 14 BGN. You can reach Bansko by one of the last Bulgarian narrow gauge railway, which you can take from station Septemvri. The gauge passes also through the highest station on the Balkans - "Avramovi Kolibi" but the time from travelling to Septemvri is about 5 hours. From station Septemvri you can make a transfer to Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Shumen, Sofia and Ruse.
If you have a lot of luggage or tired legs do not bother to contact us. We will meet you. You can also take a taxi at the cab rank at the bus station. If you make a reservation in advance we can organize a paid transfer from the airports in Sofia, Plovdiv, Thessaloniki or Drama, for groups (from 1 to 8 people) with luggage.
Accommodation
Dedo Pene Guest house offers 8 double rooms each of which has its own toilet, fully equipped and heated by local heating in winter. On our guests’ choice, in some of them, there is an option for heating by live fire.
